The partners of Chancery Advisors are pleased to announce the launch of ChanceryESG in the Cayman Islands.

ChanceryESG will be a full service corporate firm advising on Cayman Islands law, with a primary focus on the three pillars of the future economy: ESG, digital asset transactions and sanctions.

Dan Harris, a partner at Chancery Advisors, commented:

The siloed nature of most law firms prevents them from making the connection between ESG, digital asset transactions and sanctions. These topics are increasingly part of the same conversation. There is now widespread recognition that Cayman is a critical part of the future economy. As the clock ticks down on climate change, ESG needs capital with a short investment horizon, and digital assets need trading, not investment capital, to achieve sustained liquidity. Investment vehicles domiciled in Cayman typically have the right kind of capital. ChanceryESG will be uniquely positioned to provide joined-up thinking in these areas”

Winston Connolly, a well-respected attorney in the Cayman Islands, will head the firm.  He commented:

The firm has the advantage of being able to build out a practice with the future economy in mind and be attuned to the needs of clients from day one. We are very excited by what the future holds for the firm.”
