George McKerracher

George advises hedge funds, asset managers and other financial institutions (including one of the world’s largest managed account platforms) on both documentation and regulatory issues. He negotiates a wide range of agreements, including prime brokerage, ISDA Master Agreements, stock lending, repo, clearing and exchange traded derivatives agreements, as well as more bespoke documents, such as total return swap confirmations. He regularly works on some of the world’s largest fund launches, including a complex $1billion spin-out in 2020 involving dozens of counterparties and hundreds of agreements.

George also has experience of working in-house, having been seconded to a well-known investment manager, where he led negotiations on a variety of matters. Before joining Chancery, George worked in the Derivatives and Trading team of a ‘silver circle’ law firm for over two years. He has a degree in Law from the University of Cambridge.
